Nature Coast Botanical Gardens
The Nature Coast Botanical Garden & Nursery is a scenic, laid-back oasis located in Spring Hill, Florida. Maintained entirely by volunteers from the Spring Hill Garden Club, this 4.5-acre property provides a peaceful escape showcasing a diverse array of Florida-friendly plants and beautifully themed spaces. The property, located on Parker Avenue and owned by Hernando County, was considered too small for a county park. So in late 1994 the Garden Club was granted a long term lease to use the area as a plant nursery and botanical garden.

The grounds feature numerous distinct gardens, including a dedicated butterfly garden, a vibrant rose garden, and a secret garden, among many others. Each individual theme garden is maintained by a different member of the garden club.

Visitors can enjoy walking paths that lead past tranquil waterfalls, gazebos, and a reflection pond. The property also includes a nursery operated by the garden club, which typically sells plants to the public on select mornings. Guided tours are available on certain days of the week for groups who make arrangements in advance.

In addition to normal visiting hours for public walk-in visitors, the Botanical Gardens hosts a variety of themed events during the year. Check their website (link below) for details about upcoming events.

The Nature Coast Botanical Gardens offer a very family-friendly environment with free parking and wheelchair-accessible paths, entrances, and facilities.
