Linda Pedersen Park - Jenkins Creek
Linda Pedersen Park and the Jenkins Creek Preserve are located across the road from each other along Shoal lIne Boulevard in Hernando County. Each offers a host of recreational opportunities ... and together they make a great destination for a day trip.

Linda Pedersen Park occupies 65 acres along the east side of the road, with 12 developed acres. It offers picnic pavilians, tables, a kayak launch, playground, restrooms, and lookout tower. Swimming is permitted in the bayou, and showers are available. There is a large sandy beach area (that does not extend into the water) available for sunbathing.

The 40 foot tall lookout tower at Linda Pederson Park provides a great view of upland hammocks and the nearby Weeki Wachee Preserve to the southeast, as well as an expansive view of Jenkings creek as it flows into the Gulf of Mexico. There is trail access into Weeki Wachee Preserve for hikers and off-road bikers.

Jenkins Creek Preserve covers 75 acres on the west side of Shoal Line Boulevard. There is a paved boat ramp and trailer parking ... for those wishing to access Jenkins Creek and the Gulf of Mexico. There is also a lengthy waterfront boardwalk for landside fishermen. Restroom facilities are available.Activities & Facilities
