Pine Island Park
 Occupying three acres at the very tip of Pine Island, Pine Island Park is Hernando County's only public beach. The white sand beach is shaded by palm trees and provides a number of shelters and pavilions that are available on a first-come first-served basis.

Other amenities include beach volleyball courts, picnic tables, barbecue grills, a kid's playground, and an observation tower overloooking the beach and Gulf of Mexico. A concession stand is available for food and drinks. Pets and alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the park.

There is a parking fee charged to enter the park area. Swimmers enter the water at their own risk - no lifeguard is on duty.Activities & Facilities
