The Rock & Roll Revival is a highly anticipated annual music festival held in
the rolling hills of Brooksville, Florida, located in Hernando County.
Originally established in 2019 as the "Spirit of Woodstock Festival," the event
eventually rebranded to the Rock & Roll Revival to better reflect its expanded
musical scope. While it maintains a deep appreciation for the iconic 1969
Woodstock era, the festival celebrates the entire definitive catalog of rock,
blues, folk, and soul music that shaped both the 1960s and 1970s.

The
festival takes place at the Florida Sand Music Ranch (formerly known as the
Sertoma Youth Ranch). Spanning over 80 acres of rustic terrain shaded by massive
oak trees, the ranch sits right along the Hernando and Pasco county lines. It
provides an ideal backdrop for a relaxed, community-centric outdoor gathering
with a tent and RV campground area.
The heart of the event is its massive covered stage and dance floor, ensuring
that rain or shine, music lovers have a comfortable, intimate environment to
watch performances and groove to the music. Food trucks and a market alley
feature merchandise and artisan crafts. Because it is a "camping optional"
event, attendees can purchase single-day tickets or full weekend passes, making
it highly accessible for both local day-trippers and travelers from across the
Southeast.
The event officially kick-starts with a reunion pre-party on Thursday evening.
This opening night features a facilitated community drum circle, followed by
intimate acoustic sets where early arrivals can sing along to classic hits.
Beyond the concert lineup, the festival embraces a family-friendly culture with
unique daily events. The festival is also famously pet-friendly and features
quirky, crowd-pleasing competitions that honor its hippie roots, including the
"Bohemian Wrapsody Hippie Costume" contest, the "Woodstock Hippie Hound Pooch
Parade", the "Easy Rider Cart Contest & Parade", and the "Pimp Your Pad" contest
- an award given to the grooviest, most elaborately decorated campsite.
Dedicated children's activities are organized at the ranch's youth pavilion on
Saturday, making it a true multigenerational event. For residents and visitors
of Florida’s Nature Coast, the Rock & Roll Revival offers a nostalgia-fueled
escape. It seamlessly blends the timeless, enduring music of a revolutionary
generation with the natural, serene beauty of old-school Florida.
