Blue Springs Park

Blue Springs Park, also
commonly referred to as Bronson Blue Springs, is a popular local swimming hole
and recreation area located in Bronson. This county park is known for its clear,
blue waters and family-friendly atmosphere. It operates on a seasonal schedule,
so check the link below to make sure it is open before visiting. Because the
park has a small parking lot and a strict capacity limit, it often reaches
"one-in, one-out" status early on weekends when it open. There is a small
admission charge.
The main attraction is the spring-fed swimming area, which maintains a constant
temperature of around 72°F year-round. The park features a jump dock and
multiple entry points into the spring for swimming and snorkeling. On-site
amenities include a playground, a sand volleyball court. There are several
pavilions and grills available on a first-come, first-served basis, making it a
popular spot for afternoon cookouts. No pets or alcoholic beverages are allowed
within the park.
While the spring is not considered high magnitude, it is an important part of
the headwaters of the Waccasassa River. It has a large sandy bottom spring pool
that makes a perfect environment for swimming and snorkeling. While at the park,
take a short walking trail that leads to "Little Blue Spring". It is a smaller
nearby spring - and unlike the main spring pool which is bathed in sunlight -
this one has a full shade canopy.
