The SunWest Crab & Shrimp Festival is an annual, family-friendly seafood festival held every February on the white-sand beach of SunWest Park in Hudson, Florida. Organized by Florida Penguin Productions in partnership with local sponsors like Florida’s Sports Coast, the festival is a popular weekend event in Pasco County that combines local food, live music, and beach recreation.

The festival features over a dozen seafood vendors alongside traditional food trucks. Menu offerings include blue crab, stone crab, crab cakes, fresh shrimp, lobster dishes, paella, and fish, as well as classic carnival treats. A stage right on the beach hosts continuous live music throughout the weekend, ranging from local Tampa Bay acts to tribute bands and country rock.

The event includes a dedicated Kids Play Zone (with option for all-day play wristbands), hermit crab races, pirate character appearances, and local artisan vendor booths. Rum sampling stations, canned cocktails, craft beers, and domestic selections are available for adults.

Net proceeds from ticket and beverage sales support local Tampa Bay nonprofits.
