Population (2026)
About 200
Originally settled by the Keaton brothers in the early 1900s, this area began as
a thriving hub for the mullet fishing industry. Originally, the community had a
commissary and church, along with several worker's houses along Blue Springs
Creek.Today, it has evolved into a peaceful residential and vacation community.

Hodges Park is its primary
gathering spot. A 700-foot pier extending into the Gulf allows those without a
boat to cast for redfish, trout, and flounder. A white sandy public beach with
500 feet of frontage on the Gulf is complimented with several picnic shelters
and restroom facilities, as well as a children's playground area.
Near the entrance to the small town on Beach Road is Keaton Beach Coastal Park
and a public boat ramp. This is a two-lane paved ramp with ample trailer
parking. In addition to open Gulf boating, kayakers will enjoy exploring the
salt marsh area of Blue Springs Creek.
Bicyclists and joggers can take a paved multi-use trail that extends from Keaton Beach Coastal
Park all the way to the cutoff to Dark Island, just to the south of Keaton
Beach.
