St. Marks Stone Crab Festival
Saint Marks, Florida
Last Saturday in October
Founded in 1997
The stone crab season opens in October, and the Saint Marks Stone Crab Festival celebrates the occasion. Begun in 1997 by the owners of the Riverside Cafe as a local excuse to party, the event has grown into a community wide project with many sponsors, and with the proceeds going to charity.

Obviously the big draw of the day is the stone crab, served a number of different ways. Numerous food vendors are present, along with arts and crafts booths, educational displays, and children's activities.

After opening ceremonies, live on-stage music is non-stop all afternoon. A very small fee is charged for admission, parking is free and shuttle service is provided at no charge. No pets are allowed ... and no smoking is allowed.Activities & Facilities
