Frances Avenue Park
Frances Avenue Park is a City of New Port Richey public neighborhood park nestled along the meandering Pithlachascotee River. Modest in size, at about five acres, it packs a lot of recreational possibilities into a small space. In early March of each year the park is home to the Florida Loquat Festival.

A large modern playground is the centerpiece of the park, with picnic tables and shelters available. Since this is an urban park, birthday parties and family reunions are regularly held here. A basketball court is also provided. Public restrooms have recently been completely renevated.

Along the riverfront there is a kayak launch facility. Both the kayak launch and the playground is ADA accessible. Those launching their watercraft from Frances Avenue Park will enjoy paddling upstream to the James E. Grey Preserve and beyond, as well as downstream through the center of New Port Richey to the mouth of the Pithlachascotee River. Parking is free.Activities & Facilities
